MOUNT CARMEL HIGH SCHOOL

Our present headmistress Sr. Jeanine started her mission with courage since in the year 2019 trusting in the providence of the God. As we are passing 90 successful years of journey, we are proud to say that Mount Carmel has a great story of success, efficiency, achievement and valuable contribution in the field of education. Mount Carmel has contributed to the society many scholarly and professional students. There are International, National and state champions to its credit.

We provide excellent academic training to the students through Technology, Well-Established Library, Multimedia Room. Computer Labs, Auditorium, Two Basketball Ground, Sufficient Toilet Facilities, Girl-Friendly Toilets, Children’s Park, Zero Waste campus, Eco-friendly environment etc.

The school experience

Mount Carmel Higher Secondary School for Girls was founded in the year 1934 by the CSST sisters. it is functioning under the Corporate Education Agency of Vijayapuram Diocese. The school was started with 3 teachers and15 students and it was upgraded to high school in the year 1945.

At present the high school has the strength of 1769 students with 52 efficient teachers and 7 non-teaching staffs. It was Rev. Sr. Virginia CSST who courageously cheered the trial vessel of the Institution into safe waters. A prayerful person’s true service which in term paid the way of speedy growth of the scope. Rev. Srs. Rachel, Stella, Renita, Alphonsa, Lynnette, Mrs Ellyamma Anthony and Sr. Shilpa forward the path of their predecessors to lead the institution to its present glory.
